More Money for Broadband Expansion in Miller, Morgan, Camden Counties

More than $175 million is coming to Missouri in the latest round of funding for broadband expansion. The money is part of the Connect America Fund Auction that was held in 2018 and allocated nearly $1.5 billion in support funds for internet providers. The money goes to Wisper ISP and will be spread over 10 years. They’ll receive $7.8 million to expand coverage to over 3800 customers in Camden County. They also get $3.6 million to reach 2300 customers in Miller County, and $556,000 to reach 561 homes and businesses in Morgan County.
