Officials eyeing sports as an economic booster say they’re still trying to raise money to further explore their possibilities. Camdenton City Administrator Jeff Hancock says they’re looking at building a soccer complex along 54 near Wal-Mart. It’s an idea that dates back a few years.
The city is working with the CVB to raise the $38,000 it will take for a feasibility study on the proposed complex.
The money raised so far comes from a contribution from the city along with several donations from the private sector and business community.
