More Repairs Needed as Bridges Near End of Lifespan

The growing need for bridge repairs across the country is a top priority for infrastructure specialists. MoDOT Area Engineer Bob Lynch says the nation’s bridge system is nearing the end of its original lifespan.

 

  

In Missouri alone, just within the statewide system, there are nearly 900 bridges considered to be in poor condition according to Federal standards and in need of some type of repair.
