The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for northwestern Camden County, northern Miller County and southern Morgan County, until 7:00 p.m.
At 6:12 p.m. a line of severe thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 7 miles east of Eldon to 10 miles west of Laurie… and moving northeast at 30 mph. producing quarter size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect until midnight for Morgan County, northwestern Camden County, northwestern Miller County, Benton County and extreme northeastern Hickory County until midnight.
At 6:12 p.m., National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches have fallen with additional heavy rainfall expected this evening. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday morning.
A TORNADO WATCH remains in effect until 10:00 p.m. for 20 counties in Missouri, including the Lake of the Ozarks area.
