While damage from two separate tornados touching down earlier this week in the lake area will not top the list of the most destructive, the effects are certainly being felt by those who were in their paths. Morgan County Emergency Management Director Rick Bias says, in his county alone, there were at least 25 homes and four businesses with damage being reported. Bias also says, in retrospect to the chaotic aftermath, emergency response by those involved, was textbook going off without a hitch.
Bias also gave credit for getting the job done to the 9-1-1 dispatch center and neighbors helping neighbors. An estimated $500-thousand in damage was reported in Morgan County.
