Morgan County Crash Sends A Columbia Woman To The Hospital

Two people are hurt, one seriously, after a crash in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jorge Ipina of Sedalia was driving on US 50 east of Old Route 50 when his pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic while he was pulling a trailer.

Emily Edwards of Columbia was coming from the opposite direction and investigators say she hit the trailer.

She was taken to Bothwell Hospital with serious injuries, Ipina was taken to the same place with minor injuries.

Edwards was not wearing a seat belt.
