The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department continues investigating an incident being considered as a murder. Sheriff Norman Dills says the sequence of events started with the department receiving a call on May 6th from a subject who reported that his wife was being assaulted in Stover at a location on Hwy-N. When deputies arrived, they discovered the body of 79-year-old Thomas Chandler, Senior, and an unidentified female described as hysterical in an adjacent room. Life-saving efforts at the scene were unsuccessful. Results of an autopsy have not been released by the sheriff’s department. The female subject was treated and released from a local hospital.
