The Morgan County Commission is looking into repairing their Tornado Warning sirens.

Morgan County EMA Director Bill DiMarsico told commissioners in their last meeting, that all of the county’s siren systems were “out of date” and a few aren’t working.

In the last siren test, five sirens failed to work, including one in Florence which hasn’t functioned properly in the past 3 years.

DiMarsico claims that their current contractor, L&B Electronics, hasn’t reported any repairs or maintenance sheets to the EMA’s office in several months.

The commission plans to put out a bid for repairs soon and may be considering a new firm to handle the repair work.
