A Stover man is going to jail for six years for shooting and killing another man three years ago. 61-year old James Wager received the sentence last week. He had been convicted in November of involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action for shooting 39-year old Nathan Walked of Ivy Bend in July of 2010. Prosecutors say Wager had drover to Walker’s home where an argument started; Walked reached for a gun in his car, but Wager got to it first and shot Walker. Wager told authorities the two had been arguing because he thought Walker had broke into his home and others of people Wager knew.
