Thirteen people were sentenced to the Department of Corrections from Morgan County last month. Prosecuting Attorney Dustin Dunklee says at least six of those cases directly involved controlled substances. Three people – David Rasco, Megan Roberds, and Yvonne Bays – were sentenced for crimes including burglary, robbery, theft, forgery, armed criminal action, and receiving stolen property. Five of the people sentenced were ordered to participate in treatment programs.
1. Edward K. James – Sentenced to 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm under RSMo 559.115 with the preference for the 120 day drug treatment center program.
2. Michael A. Perry – Sentenced to 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Resisting Arrest.
3. Victor M. Bustamante, Jr. – Sentenced to 3 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Driving While Revoked.
4. David M. Rasco – Sentenced to 30 years in DOC for the Class A Felony of Robbery 1st Degree, 15 years for the Unclassified Felony of Armed Criminal Action and 4 years on the Class E Felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The 30 year sentence and the 15 year sentence were ran consecutively for a total of 45 years.
5. Holly Blankenship – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 217.362, the Long Term Treatment Program.
6. Megan E. Roberds – Sentenced to 3 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Burglary 2nd Degree and 3 years in DOC for three counts of the Class C Felony of Receiving Stolen Property.
7. Yvonne Bays – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class B Felony of Theft / Stealing and 7 years in DOC for four counts of the Class C Felony of Forgery pursuant to RSMo 559.115 shock incarceration.
8. Suzanne M. Torres – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 7 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child under RSMo 559.115 with the preference for the 120 day drug treatment center program.
9. Shawn M. Freid – Sentenced to 5 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
10. Myles H. Keyser – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for three counts of the Class C Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child under RSMo 217.362 Long Term Treatment Program.
11. Raven L. Hayes – Sentenced to 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.
12. Tina L. Terry – Sentenced to 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115 with the preference for the 120 day drug treatment center program.
13. Colby E. Vansell – Sentenced to 5 years in DOC for the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 4 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Resisting Arrest.
