With the beginning of the new school year just around the corner for the Morgan County R-2 District in Versailles, administrators are leaving no doubt that the much-publicized attendance issue from last year is not up for discussion this year. Ryerson adds that there is an appeals process but the policy is black-and-white. It’s been proven that higher attendance generally contributes to stronger academic achievements and helps to promote a students’ soft skills which, in turn, helps them prepare for their future pursuit of employment after graduating.
