Morgan County R-II Board to Meet in Closed Session

The Morgan County R-II school board will meet again in another closed session Tuesday. It’s believed that they’ll be continuing their conversation regarding issues with now former superintendent Dr. Joyce Ryerson. Ryerson was placed on administrative leave in December and resigned her position in January. Topics for discussion in the executive session include legal action involving the district; hiring, firing, disciplining, or promoting employees; and applicants for employment. The district has said they’ll appoint an interim replacement for the remainder of the school year and look to hire a full-time replacement during the summer. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7pm in the Middle School library.
