Ten people convicted in Morgan County have been sentenced to the Department of Corrections. Morgan County Prosecutor Dustin Dunklee says the list includes five people whose cases involved possession of controlled substances. Dewayne Werdehausen of California will serve twelve years behind bars on a pair of six-year sentences for second-degree statutory rape and enticement of a child under the age of 15 years old. The charges dated back to 2016. The case was prosecuted on a change of venue in Camden County.
Meanwhile, nearly three dozen people are facing felony charges in Morgan County. Prosecuting Attorney Dustin Dunklee says felony counts have been filed on 34 individuals since March 28th. Sixteen of those cases involve controlled substances.
