The Morgan County RII School Board will be discussing some changes to the student policy handbook when they meet in regular session this week. Superintendent Dr. Joyce Ryerson said in a statement to parents and students that they will make an effort to clarify two attendance policies contained in the handbook. The policies deal with the number of excused absences permitted per semester and ways the student can still receive credits. The other specifically identifies attendance standards required to participate in graduation ceremonies. The policies became an issue a little over a week ago when a number of students were notified that would not be able to walk during graduation. The board meeting is scheduled for Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Library.
