MU Healthcare Releases Details On Data Breach

Officials at MU Health care are advising residents about a data breach at their health centers.

In a release, they say an unauthorized person potentially gained access to the emails of some MU Students affiliated with the health system on September 21^st.

Some of the information taken included birthdays, medical record numbers, insurance and some social security numbers.

Because of that, MU officials are now offering complementary credit monitoring services.

Officials say as of right now, there’s no indication the information taken has been mis-used in any way.
