An Eldon man is facing multiple charges after a high speed chase and an apparent attempt at “suicide by cop”. 31-year old Kenneth McCoin was seen by Lake Ozark Police driving in the area of Rick’s C Store early Sunday after he had failed to stop for law enforcement earlier on Saturday evening. McCoin, who was wanted on a felony assault investigation, led police on a chase on state Route W, down Lakeland Road, out to 54 and down to Highway 52 in Eldon. The Eldon man drove off the road and bailed out of the vehicle before he was captured. McCoin faces charges of failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, resisting arrest by flight, careless and imprudent driving, driving while intoxicated, and assault of a law enforcement officer after he struggled and tried to disarm one of his arresting officers. He is being held in the Miller County Jail.
