A double murder case is being moved from a Cole County courtroom to one in Camden County. On Monday, Judge Pat Joyce declared a mistrial for Damien Bryan of Jefferson City. This was tied to testimony during the trial that was given by a drug testing official. The public defender then made the request for a change of venue. Authorities say Bryan was drunk when he caused an accident in Cole County in August of 2011 that killed Donald Edwards of Russellville and Joan Hamilton from Kansas. He is charged with two counts of second degree murder and one county of DWI, aggravated offender. The trial is expected to start in October with Joyce still hearing the case.
