Dignitaries from around the world, including relatives of Winston Churchill and Harry Truman, are expected to attend an anniversary celebration in Fulton later this year. The 50th anniversary of the National Churchill Museum will be celebrated on the campus of Westminster College May 3-5th.
Museum curator Tim Riley says the anniversary committee includes the Churchills, Trumans, as well as relatives of Richard Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, Henry Kissinger, and more. The event will commemorate Churchill’s delivery of the famous “Iron Curtain” speech at Westminster, which led to the establishment of the national museum. More details and a schedule of events is available online at www.nationalchurchillmuseum.org.
