A week from today law enforcement agencies across the country will be out in their communities making an effort to get to know the people they serve. National Night Out is observed on Tuesday, August 7th. Lake Ozark Police and the Miller County Sheriff’s office will be pairing up with Osage Beach Police for the event at the Osage Beach City Park. Lt. Michael O’Day says it’s a great opportunity for the police and community to get to know each other, something that makes it easier for them to do their job in an era where beat cops are becoming scarce.
The event will feature games, music, face painting, and a free movie, and other information from several participating agencies. Activities begin at 6pm.
