The Camden County Commission has found more support for a pair of controversial images on display at the county office building. Commissioners have received a correspondence from the First Liberty Institute, the largest legal organization in the country dedicated to defending religious freedom cases. First Liberty’s opinion is that neither image, a flag with a bible verse and a painting of the 9/11 memorial cross, represent any conflicts. They say both should be able to remain in place. The county commission has not yet voted on what action they’ll take, but this week they received strong support from the community fight any lawsuit that may be filed over the images by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
