National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory For The Lake

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that goes into effect at 8PM for the entire Lake Region.

Officials are anticipating a wintry mix with accumulating ice through New Year’s Eve night.

If the storm continues on its track, it’s estimated we could see a dusting to an inch of snow and ice accumulations of a glaze to two tenths of an inch.

  ranging from a dusting up to one inch. Flat ice accumulations
  are expected to range from a glaze to two tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...In Kansas, Bourbon County. In Missouri, Benton,
  Morgan, Vernon and St. Clair Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to noon CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...A few roads could become slick. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.
