After a five month search which included an assessment center exercise and multiple interviews, there is a new Assistant Fire Chief in Sunrise Beach. On Wednesday, Sunrise Beach Fire Chief Dennis Reilly announced that Captain Jeremy Criner of the Rogers Arkansas Fire Department has accepted the position. Reilly says this was one of the hardest decisions he has made to make since he has been in Sunrise Beach as any of the three final candidates would have made an excellent assistant fire chief.
Criner is an eight year veteran of the Rogers Arkansas Fire Department. He has a degree in Fire Science and has the Fire Officer Designation from the Center for Public Service Excellence. He will start with the Sunrise Beach Fire Department on February 3rd.
