A new court rule on bonds has resulted in a third chance for a former Lake Ozark resident accused of endangering a child. A judge has set a new bond of $50,000 cash or surety for Elizabeth Austin. Austin had been held without bond after she failed to show for two previous hearings. One of those was a result of a car accident she was involved in the day before the hearing. She’s charged with endangering the welfare of a child with serious physical injury, endangering creating substantial risk of injury, and possession of methamphetamine. The charges stem from an incident in February that resulted in a young child suffering serious burns.
