New charges have been filed against an Eldon man who was taken into custody after a reported domestic assault on New Year’s Eve 2018. Original reports indicated at that time that Thomas Stogsdill, Junior was charged with second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. The case no longer appears online in court records. However, a new case filed Friday charges Stogsdill with a class-A felony for domestic assault involving serious physical injury and unlawful use of a weapon for being intoxicated at the time. It’s alleged that Stogsdill was shooting at the unidentified woman’s dog after she told him that she liked the animal more than him. The shot missed the dog and hit the woman in the leg. Bond on the new case was set at $500.00 cash or surety plus an added condition of GPS monitoring.
