There’s going to be a new federally qualified health center coming to Camdenton soon as a part of the 11 grants that were awarded by the federal grant application program called New Access Point Grants. The Missouri Foundation for health, an organization the helps health clinics apply and receive these grants helped to get 11 new places to be built around the state including a new place here in Camdenton. Ryan Barker is the community information liaison for the Missouri Foundation for health and he says this new location will be open very soon
Barker says they had helped the Richland Medical Center apply for this grant that awarded to them a little over $700,000 dollars to build the location. Because it is federally qualified they will be able to see patients with or without insurance and very low cost because the federal government heavily subsides those clinics in particular.
