Racers from across the country are setting their eyes towards Lake of the Ozarks for 2021.

That’s because the Lake Area is gaining a brand-new racing facility, that’s nearly 4 miles long with 19 corners and multiple configurations.

Officials with Ozarks International Raceway say the track is fully paved, and will off both day and night racing for drifters, motorcyclists and other forms of racing.

The track located just outside of Laurie on Highway 135 near J road, will host a racing school and opportunities for local racers to rent the facilities as well.

More than 10,000 people followed the racetrack’s new Facebook page in the past week alone.

Here are additional details released by the track promoters on Facebook:

“We want to THANK YOU ALL for your encouragement and interest in our project.

Here are a few details on the facility:

– Opening date: summer of 2021
– It will be paved (the first layer is already done!)
– It will be open to ALL types of cars/motorcycles
– We are looking at doing drift events but we are not sure when
– We will have track days, a racing school, lapping days/nights, Time Attack, the possibility to rent the track, and everything you can think of!

Again, we can’t thank you enough for the outpour of positive comments and messages we received in the past few days. We are THRILLED to get this going!”
