Missouri citizens who want to report canine cruelty have a new state website to voice their concerns. The Missouri Attorney General has a new link at www.ago.mo.gov that allows consumers to lodge a complaint against an unlicensed breeder or against a breeder that violated consumer rights or cruelty prevention laws. The Canine Cruelty webpage will send the state’s Cruelty Prevention Unit into action, investigating all complaints that are filed. At the page users can also find a chart that explains the revisions to the state’s animal welfare laws and the new standards being imposed by the state’s Canine Cruelty Prevention Act. Missourians with issues can also call the Consumer Protection Hotline at 1-800-392-8222.
