Heads up Nissan drivers.
The company is recalling over 323,000 of their Pathfinder SUVS because the hoods can “unexpectedly” open while in motion.
The recall affects 2013 through 2016 model years.
Officials say that dust and dirt can accumulate on the secondary hood latch, causing it to malfunction and stay unlatched even when the hood is closed.
The hood could open if the main latch is inadvertently released or not closed properly after engine service.
Nissan says they are working on a remedy and owners are expected to be notified by letter in Mid-July.
