Despite Lake Area fire districts urging people not to do any open burning until further notice, it still happened on Wednesday and is being blamed for, at least, one natural cover fire in the Osage Beach area. The fire in a residential area along Wood River Road, near D-Road, reportedly started when a controlled burn got out of hand. Fire danger in the Lake Area is expected to remain high through the weekend.
