There are no cities in the Lake Area that force people to wear masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But one Lake Mayor thinks wearing a mask in some cases is a good idea, but there are exceptions.
Lake Ozark Mayor Gerry Murawski.
He tells KRMS News it could also be dangerous for people to wear masks while working outside in the heat of summer.
Murawski also says many bars and restaurants in Lake Ozark can seat people outside, and masks could be dangerous for customers to have face coverings during the high daytime temperatures expected over the weekend.
But Murawski does recommend wearing a mask if you’re indoors and surrounded by a lot of people.
