We told you about the recent accomplishments of students participating in the state’s new “Seal of Biliteracy” program designed to improve second-language skills. Right now, though, no local schools are participating.
That’s Ryan Drumpf, the Director of the English Language Learners program. He says the pilot program was adopted in October, which didn’t give many schools the time they needed to get signed up. He expects that to change.
Missouri is the 28th state in the country to join the Seal of Biliteracy program.
