The beach closure system is no more as Governor Jay Nixon signs House Bill 28. The bill puts into place a beach advisory system. Jim Divincen, Administrator for the Tri-County Lodging Association says this is good news not only for the Lake of the Ozarks but for the entire state.
Public Beach Number Two at Lake of the Ozarks State Park and the Day Use Beach at Harry S Truman State Park in Warsaw had both been closed for nearly a month because of failed water quality tests. The bill contains an emergency clause which means it goes into effect immediately.
