No More Medical Examiner

Camden County has done away with the position of medical examiner.
The Camden County Commission has approved a contract with Southwest Missouri Forensics, a company based in Springfield, to provide forensic assistance and handle death calls.
The contract cost the county $95,000 a year spread out over 12 months, which are payable in equal installments.
Southwest Missouri Forensics is employing four SART nurses from Lake Regional Health System to assist with onsite evaluations and calls. The contract calls for service to be available 24/7.
