If you were out and about in the Lake Area this past weekend, you may have noticed a few groups of volunteers picking up trash and debris from along the highways and bi-ways. That’s because the “No More Trash Bash” is now, officially, underway. MoDOT Area Engineer Bob Lynch says the statewide effort is similar to the “Adopt A Highway” and “Adopt the Shoreline” programs…
MoDOT crews are responsible for picking up another $6-million, or so, worth of trash from the roadways. You can volunteer to help in the cleanup by contacting MoDOT (888-ASK-MODOT). The “No More Trash Bash” officially runs through May 15th.
