Boaters near the 30-mile mark of the main channel need to be aware of an ongoing no wake zone in effect for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.
The zone stretches from the 31 ½ Mile mark to the 36 Mile Mark of the main channel and goes into effect Saturday and Sunday morning, both ending at 7PM each day.
A second larger No Wake zone goes into effect on Saturday afternoon, stretching for 10 miles between the 31 and the 21-mile markers.
Captain Matt Walz of the Highway Patrol’s Water Division.
He Tells KRMS News the no wake zone was added to protect property and other boaters heading to and from the event.
Walz says the water division will be actively patrolling the no wake zone area.
