A proposal to restrict music and entertainment in Lake Ozark has passed the first reading. The city is considering enacting a noise ordinance that would place time restrictions on any type of amplified entertainment at establishments that serve alcohol. The ordinance says no amplified entertainment can be used from 11pm to 7am Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday night, the restrictions begin at midnight. Music and entertainment is still permitted inside the business, as long as the windows and doors are closed to contain the sound. The ordinance will be heard and voted on a second time at the next Board of Aldermen meeting.
