The family of a man who died after a Sheriff’s deputy used a taser to subdue him in 2011 has reached a settlement with Camden County. The county has paid one million dollars to the family of Glen David Norman who died in October of 2011 after deputies found him trying to gain access to a home in Linn Creek. Toxicology reports show Norman had methamphetamine in his system. Although the county’s insurance paid the settlement in July, the county denies any negligence or fault in regards to incidents or occurrences allegedly causing the death of Norman. News of the settlement was not released back in July due to a stipulation that prevented the information from being disclosed.
