Protests and no votes cannot stop a rezone from receiving approval in the city of Osage Beach. The rezone of just over one acre of property between Ledges Drive and Port Lane, with frontage on Dude Ranch Road, received a four to two approval last night. Two agricultural zoned areas will be rezoned to single family residential and general commercial, with the general commercial rezone being done at the request of the city to cover future liability issues. Seven nearby residents spoke against the project with aldermen Lois Farmer and Steve Kahrs voting to deny the rezone, which is in their ward.
