The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen approved Dierbergs’ proposed redevelopment of the High Pointe Shopping Center property, and the 5.1-million-dollar TIF Plan. The vote Thursday night was 4:2, with Ward-1 aldermen Ron Schmitt and Kevin Rucker casting the two “No” votes. Rucker abstained on the first-reading vote, and Schmitt voted “No” on both first and second readings. The vote followed a brief public hearing during which several local residents spoke both for and against the proposal. The Board next votes to award the contracts. That will occur at the aldermen’s Jan. 6th meeting.
