There will be a public meeting next month about a proposed change to dock inspections in the Osage Beach Fire District. Fire officials say the current program requires all new dock construction, docks being relocated and docks being changed or remodeled are required to have a permit. The change would involve docks as part of a real estate transaction. The dock would have to be inspected before Ameren Missouri would change the dock permit to the new owner’s name. This would mean any residential home with a current dock that is being sold would have to have an inspection and be brought up to current standard prior to Ameren Missouri changing the name on that specific dock permit. This new requirement would not be enforced on multi well docks that are tied to an association with multiple slip owners in the same structure. The meeting will start at 4:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, June 18th at the Osage Beach Fire District Headquarters.
