Emergency officials in Camden County are keeping their eyes on streams and rivers that are currently in flood stage or are very close to flood stage. Flooding is expected along the Big and Little Niangua rivers in the next few days. Officials say people living along both rivers and tributaries need to keep a close watch on the weather conditions. Residents in these areas are also reminded to be prepared to move to higher ground. Camden County officials say they are in direct contact with fire and ambulance districts along with Camden County Road and Bridge, MODOT, the Missouri Highway Patrol, Ameren Missouri, SHO-ME Power and the US Army Corps of Engineers to keep a constant assessment of the situation.
