Have you picked out your Christmas tree yet? It may still be a bit early for most of us, but not for the Department of Conservation. They’re looking for the perfect tree to display at the Governor’s mansion, and they’re asking state residents to help them find it. The MDC is running their annual contest to find the tree through photographs submitted by residents. The tree must be approximately 40 feet tall and it has to be either an eastern red cedar, Norway spruce, or white pine, fully branched on all sides. If you think you have just the tree they’re looking for, you have a week left to submit your entry. The deadline is October 10th. Full details and guidelines are available online at www.mdc.mo.gov.
