Despite the large number of boaters on the water this weekend, there has only been two boating related accidents.

The Highway patrol says 22-year-old Emma Means of Park Hills was seriously injured when she was struck by a propeller at the 4-mile mark of the Grand Glaize arm.

Investigators say Means was attempting to board a 1998 Sea Ray that was running, but the operator of the boat said it was “not in drive” at the time.

And a PWC rider suffered minor injuries after crashing into buoy line cables at the Bagnell Dam.

The Patrol says 37-year-old Brandon Summers of Liberty refused treatment at the scene.

They say he hit a large wake which caused him to veer off into the cables.
