All in all a safe weekend here at the lake as it pertains to boating. There was only one reported crash this weekend that we could report. This is the first reported crash since 6/18 which would indicated perhaps the alcohol saturation is working and boaters are being safer when driving a boat. The accident this weekend was in Miller County and involved two PWC’s. The incident occurred at the 0 MM when two vessels were driving in the main channel and to avoid a wake the second vessel, driven by Ryan Wells, made a sharp turn to the left. This made the driver of the first vessel, Paul Wells, try to avoid but inevitably caused him to hit the other driver. Wells drove over the top of the vessel two and injured Ryan who was driven to Lake Regional Hospital.
