A woman, described as possibly in her late 50’s to early 60’s, escapes injury but not a likely call to her insurance company after driving her minivan into the lake. Rocky Mount Fire Chief Kevin Hurtibise says the call to a residence off Horizon Lane was received on Saturday and, upon arrival, the vehicle was discovered over the sea wall and in the water between a dock walkway and a support arm. The unidentified woman, who refused treatment, reportedly got her foot stuck on the accelerator sending the vehicle into the water. Personnel were on the scene for about three hours removing the vehicle from the water. Assisting Rocky Mount Fire were the Miller County and Lake Ozark ambulance districts, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, the highway patrol’s water patrol division, Atlantis Dive, Tow Boat USA and High Tech Towing.
