The Missouri State Water Patrol Water Patrol Division made seven arrests for Boating While Intoxicated during the weekend enforcement efforts on Lake of the Ozarks, part of the nationwide Operation Dry Water campaign. A vessel sobriety checkpoint was conducted at the four mile mark of the Grand Glaize arm of Lake of the Ozarks for two hours Saturday afternoon. In addition to the seven B-W-I arrests, 16 warnings were issued for other safety violations. Statewide, 20 boating while intoxicated arrests were made during the 2011 Operation Dry Water weekend.
