Operation Dry Water will continue on all the major boating areas, this week. It’s a national campaign, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division says troopers will be trying to reduce impaired vessel operation by these high profile enforcement efforts. They had a sobriety checkpoint at the four mile mark of the Grand Glaize Arm of Lake of the Ozarks for two hours Saturday and checked 103 vessels. There were seven arrests for boating while intoxicated and 16 warnings were issued for safety violations. There was another checkpoint at Table Rock Lake, near point 7 at the Highway 13 Bridge. 71 boats were stopped, three boating while intoxicated arrests were made, 27 warnings were issued for safety violations.
