This year’s operation dry water results have officially been released from the Highway Patrol’s Water Division. Officials say that only eight people were arrested for B.W.I. Over 430 vessels were checked and a total of 390 warnings issued along 72 boating violations that came with a summons and 29 summonses for non boating violations. Officers talked with over 1,300 passengers and Captains during the period between June 27th and the 29th. Statistics from the Coast Guard have shown that since the start of Operation Dry Water, the amount of boating incidents regarding drinking and boating has decreased from 19% to 16% and they hope it will continue to drop.
