Congratulations to a number of students from School of the Osage who were recently recognized for their work during the annual Lake Area Art Council Student Art & Photo Contest. Students from each of the schools were permitted to submit 25 total pieces for consideration in the competition, which includes over 14 schools. The works were judged in six divisions, with each division awarding first, second, third place, and honorable mention. There was also an award for Best in Division as well a Presidential Award and Best of Overall show. The Best of Show award went to Osage’s Maria Mai for an acrylic painting of her grandmother. Mai also won best of her division. In all, Osage High students took home 11 awards.

3rd Place: Carley Hambley, Ceramic Mug

From Heritage Elementary, Ariyanna Matherly, kindergarten, won Best of Division 1, Addison Todd, 1st grade, won 1st place Division 1, and Grady Hague, 2nd grade, won Honorable Mention Division 1.
