You can no longer burn trash anywhere in Osage Beach. The Board of Aldermen unanimously passed a ban on burning garbage at their meeting Thursday night. The ban covers any burning of trash or treated wood, both in open fires and in barrels. The board also approved first reading of an ordinance changing the city’s insurance requirements for contractors. The bill requires contractors licensed in the city to list the city as “also insured” on their policies. That will require the insurance carriers to notify the city of any lapses or changes in the policies. The measure also raises the amount of liability insurance contractors are required to carry.
